Carthage - The Antonine Baths

We finally made it, one mile from our house, over to the Roman Baths in Carthage two Sundays ago. I think maybe they are my favorite "ruin" in Tunis so far. The baths are in such great shape, and right up against the water, making the view gorgeous.

Dust was well concealed behind the Corinthian pillar here, leaving Eliot not quite as precarious as he looks.

Sometimes I feel sad Eliot won't really have many memories of living in Tunis for his first year of life, but I'm hoping we have enough fun pics he'll enjoy later on.

This photo is actually at the Carthage Museum, a ways away from the baths. We popped over there in the afternoon after our initial visit to the baths, and of course it rained. The rain did give way to a pretty sky though, and a clearer view of Cap Bon in the distance.
