Tunis at Last

We finally arrived in Tunis and are getting settled. Here's our front door, and we'd be thrilled to have anyone come visit if you can! Just let us know....

This is the view from our front door looking up toward the central area of Sidi Bou Said. We really like the neighborhood and location so much so far, though it is pretty noisy.

My brother Dustin came out with us and will be taking care of Eliot for the next few months. Doesn't he look like a menacing nanny? He and E are already hitting it off, and it's been so great for us to have him here for the transition, etc.

We walked over to the American Cemetary in Tunis today, real close to our house. The cemetary is so beautiful, we really enjoyed the visit over.

Derek and Eliot.

One of the really interesting features of the cemetary were these beautiful mosaics of the north African campaigns. We look forward to visiting the Bardo museum and some of the other Tunisian galleries to see more of the mosaics popular in the area.
